Anyone else see this? It's the last Doctor Who special before the big one at Christmas and I think it actually looks better than 'Planet Of The Dead'! Lindsay Duncan plays one off companion Adelaide Brooke, head of a colony on Mars called 'Bowie Base One' and apparently Ood Sigma and a robot named GADGET also make appearances alongside ex- Neighbours actor Alan Ruscoe as the colony's second in command, Andy Stone.

It seems that the alien foe for this episode will be some kind of water based mutant race which can actually turn people into one of its kind through the water supply to the base- wonder why they went for Bowie as a name though? I keep thinking there'll be loads of David Bowie references involved for some reason......

I saw the trailer last night...it looks awesome     I'm curious about when the Doctor told Adelaide she was going to die that day.......maybe that's why she's only a one time companion

It looks edgier and I'm betting there won't be too many light hearted moments!

Apparently she dies because the events that happen in the episode are at a fixed point in time and can't be tampered with, don't know why but I believe it's similar to what happened in ' The Fires Of Pompeii' when the Doctor said he couldn't stop Mount Vesuvius from erupting.
