She's been named as 21 year old Karen Gillan, who played a Soothsayer opposite David Tennant's Who in last year's "The Fires of Pompeii" episode. She's currently filming Outcast, a horror story, with James Nesbitt and James Cosmo, before going on to Doctor Who.

I'm worried about Who's future now- something tells me it could all go downhill after David Tennant leaves!

Both the new Doctor and his assistant are in their twenties...it almost feels like a junior Doctor Who show aimed at youngsters  But I'll reserve judgement until I see the show....they could bring new energy and vitality to the show (though David Tennant could never be accused of lacking energy!) |
