I went for a look around my local branch of Gamestation yesterday and managed to pick up a copy of Super Smash Bros Melee for my Gamecube for £20. I'm pleased to have got it that cheap as it seems to be ridiculously expensive on Ebay considering how old both the game and its parent console are. And its a fantastic game- Basically its a 'Nintendo all stars' fighting game and you can pit characters from various Nintendo games against each other (Mario, Pikachu, Link, Fox McCloud etc) on levels based on classic games ( Princess Peach's castle, the Pokemon Collosseum) etc.
You can either go single player and play through an Arcade mode unlocking new characters, levels etc or if you can find one or more friends you can stage multiplayer battles which are a lot of fun! It's a great game and there are plenty of reasons to go out and buy it, especially as its a 'Player's Choice' selection which makes it cheap.

It is indeed, and its still worth playing. Although the new addition to the series 'Smash Bros Brawl' for Wii is also quite good.
