Mike White confirms that he has just finished and handed in a script for a sequel to the Jack Black comedy "School of Rock".
"I literally just turned it in," White added. "It's a little too fresh off the boat for me to get into right now. And I don't even know if it's gonna be made."
Brilliant I can't wait now...I loved the first film

That's great to hear the first one was excellent and a real feel good film with some great music  |

I loved the first one, it's so funny! And its nice to see a film that cares about classic rock too

Loved the first one. Jack Black on fine form, great tunes, kids that didn't make me want to poke my eyes out with a pencil, BUT, is it a film that can be stretched out to a sequel? You get so many sequels to films now days where the original film couldn't have a sequel, let alone need one. I can't see where the sequel could go. On the other hand, Mike White is a very talented writer and I don't think he is the sort of person who churn out a script for the money (if you've seen Chuck & Buck, you'll know what I mean), so he must have a half decent idea.

Yep I agree I don't think Mike White would just churn out any old crap just to cash in on his film ....he must think he has an original take on it now.....I'm looking forward to it now.....it may focus on his music school this time rather than him entering a normal school classroom
