OOOOO! Saw the film twice over the weekend an didn't stay after the credits. Got to say though, what is it with film producers changing characters race? First it was Kingpin in Daredevil now Nick Fury. Saying that, at least it's not the Hoff again!

I can understand the excitement babe.....The Avengers could be truly amazing!!! And I already love the early build ups to it combining loads of the upcoming Marvel hero films together

Yeah I know what you mean Jipdog however what was neat about this was that there was a series of comics titled the Ultimates.. basically like the Ultimate Spiderman, the Ultimate X Men, etc which were like reimagings or updatings of old characters for a new generation of readers... and old ones too I suppose... but they changed Nick Fury to look black in this and even got permission from Samuel L Jackson to use his image for the comics years ago so it was fated to get him to do the role for the new Ironman film   In these comics they alter things and the Ulitimate Nick Fury forms the Avengers (which are known as the Ultimates not Avengers in these comics)

I know it can get a bit confusing   but it does give Stan Lee and film makers a wider canvas of where they can go with the future films

Tsk tsk JD......I told people to stay behind after the credits

Samuel L ran a comicbook store in Unbreakable too so he was destined to be Nick Fury

So, common feeling is that Sam Jackson will be a better Nick Fury than David Hasselhoff then?

Don't feel too bad for him Jipdog I do think he's the only one who could really play Mitch Bucannon....  could you really see Jackson running in slow motion in some red shorts?.. Me Neither

Thats not to say he wouldn't give it a try! I do think the Hoff gets an unfair rap. Did you not see his calender this year? He knows how to take the mick out of himself!
