This is going to open Cannes Film Festival on May 14 2008
A doctor's wife becomes the only person with the ability to see in a town where everyone is struck with a mysterious case of sudden blindness. She feigns illness in order to take care of her husband as her surrounding community breaks down into chaos and disorder
It stars Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Alice Braga and Danny Glover (Narrator aswell)
Its from a novel by José Saramago and will be directed by Fernando Meirelles
Sounds like it could be good

| I thought it sounded good when I read about it last week and it's one I'd like to go and see. The sudden blindness reminded me of the Day of the Triffids storyline but I don't think it's a scifi alien invasion type movie? |

 Funny you mention that because that is exactly what I thought of too when I read it..The Triffids  Great minds think alike

I'd say that means their eyes go pure white when blind rather than only those that are white become blind...otherwise the world would be ruled by black and oriental people

That's another one I'll be watching out for  It's got a good cast and the storyline's intriguing......we just have to wait till November now  |
