This story is obviously going around this while because I read this lately too

In August 2007, The News of the World claimed that former Dynasty actress Joan Collins had signed up to play the Rani in the 2008 series This report was also corroborated in TV Week. This has not been confirmed by the BBC. Also, Kate O'Mara appeared on the Antony Cotton Show stating that she would be interested in reprising her part.

Perhaps one of these older actresses could come in and do the first episode and then a regeneration takes place like The Master??

Can the Rani regenerate? Both actresses look excellent for their age so I don't think there would be a problem there with who played the part but regenerating her would be good then she could keep making appearances for a few years to come.

I liked the Ood episode......Tim McInnery was suitably slimy and creepy but the ending didn't quite ring true, even though I liked it and thought he got an appropriate punishment! It was another episode with sadness mixed in with the drama......the slavery angle was touching.

Some more interesting lines designed to get us thinking about what's going to happen later on........the line about the bees disappearing and the one about the Doctor's song ending soon......it's fun looking out for these kind of lines!

Did anyone notice the Star Trek moment?.........The Doctor did a "mind meld" on Donna!

Well the Rani is a Timelord/or Lady aswell so she should be able to regenerate?? It could be good to keep the old actress for the initial return and then change her at the end to a new actress

What was the lijne about the bees though?? I misswed that one??

Yeah it would be good having Kate O'Mara back as a nod to the past then she regenerates.

The lines about the bees went something like "Yeah the bees disappearing"........"that's odd"........it seemed another strange line to throw in but I imagine it's about a later episode that you've probably read about Luc?
