Paul Bettany is set to star in the Screen Gems thriller "Legion" reports Variety.
The story follows what happens when God loses faith in humanity and sends his legion of angels to wipe out the human race for the second time.
Mankind's only hope lies in a group of misfits holed up in a diner in the desert who are aided by the archangel Michael (Bettany).
Scott Stewart will make his feature directorial debut on the project and co-wrote the script with Peter Schink. Production begins in New Mexico in March.
I think this sounds really promising and Bettany does have that uneartlhy look ....could be good!!!

More news on this film .....
Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Tenney are finalizing deals to join the Screen Gems thriller "Legion" reports Variety.
The trio join the already cast Paul Bettany, Charles S. Dutton, Lucas Black, Kate Walsh, Adrianne Palicki, Kevin Durand and Willa Holland.
Scripted by Stewart and Peter Schink, the thriller casts Bettany as the archangel Michael, the only one standing between mankind and an apocalypse, after God loses faith in humanity.
Man's lone hope rests with a group of strangers who must deliver a baby they realize is Christ in his second coming.
Scott Stewart makes his directorial debut on the project which is about to get under way in New Mexico.

Why is it always down to misfits to save Mankind?!  Joking aside, it's the type of film I'd enjoy seeing and the storyline appeals to me too.
Good to see Lucas Black there too......I always thought he was excellent in American Gothic. |

Because you can't cheer for perfect posh people they have to be losers or misfits
It does look good thought doesn't it babe? and yeah Lucas Black is getting alot of roles lately...he's fairly grown up now from his American Gothic days
