I've just started reading this. It's a travel book of sorts by Radio 2 DJ Stuart Maconie as he tries to rediscover his Northernness ( he was born in Wigan) after years of living and working in London.

So far its quite funny, and he's also very knowledgeable in most areas- geography, music and sport among them. And instead of just telling you about his route he actually tries to bring in interesting trivia about wherever he is.

If you enjoy travel books I'd certainly recommend trying this one.

I saw this when I was looking for book presents at Christmas and it looked like a fun read! I like these kind of funny travel books so it's one I'd buy

I'd certainly recommend it if you're into that sort of thing.
