American cinema takings saw one of their biggest increases in history, in part due to higher ticket prices in some areas, according to figures from BBC News.

And they say that Cinema is dead eh?
This will though give cinemas here the excuse to put up their prices even more now   I definitely thought with the strike and all it would be a definite fall or at most a break even kind of thing

I guess people still want to see films up on the big screen to get the full film effect so I can't see cinema takings going down at the moment.
