There is a new Carry on movie on the way called ‘Carry On To The Next Round’, and comedian Russell Brand, along with Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding are just two of the big names being lined up to star in it.
Reports suggest that the film will be based around a kind of X-Factor/Pop Idol type show, with Brand being lined up to play a Simon Cowell character. Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding would play a contestant on the show, who manages to catch Brand’s roving eye.

A source said:

“Lots of stars have been sent scripts for ‘Carry On To The Next Round.’”

“It’s a typical romantic comedy based on three judges who bicker constantly but one of them falls for a contestant. The fab film will be a real feel-good romp complete with brilliant comedy and some of the old-school-style original gags.”

So will this be good or bad????? Hmm The Jury is out!!

Not too sure about this one........it'll either be totally naff or a hit

Is this the one that Simon Cowell withdrew from?

Oh It could be because Russell Brand is mean't to be playing a Cowell like character so maybe they tried to get him first....it would make sense alright

Its hard to judge it yet ...I just hope its not another Columbus

I think he had creative differences or he didn't get on with the people doing the film........I know that's unusual for Simon Cowell

I think its better that they got someone to act like Cowell rather than Cowell himself particularly if they plan on doing more if successful

Ooookay. What happened to Carry On London with Vinnie Jones? That sounded like pap, but sounds a lot better than this one. I actually enjoyed Columbus. Ok it wasn't fantastic, but it made me laugh and was a lot better than Emmanual. Saying that there were a few of the so called classic Carry On's I hated.

Hey Jip Emmanuelle wasn't that bad......well okay I can't remember the jokes but it was the most explicit

The best ones for me where always the hospital ones though I did like the caravan park and toilet factory ones
