Namco have announced two surprising additions to the character list for the new Soul Calibur game- Yoda and Darth Vader! Apparently the PS3 version gets Vader as a guest fighter and the Xbox 360 version plays host to Yoda.

Being a Soul Calibur and Star Wars fan, I'm pretty excited!

Initially it was thought they'd both be on both machines but obviously not. A shame. It would have been cool to pit them against each other...

They may later do that when they release the platinum version of the game...well we can hope

I'd have thought they would, as in the Arcade mode of the game in the latter stages every character gets a 'destined battle' with another character they see as an enemy or threat. And if Yoda and Vader don't meet the criteria I don't know who does!

Interesting .......which begs the question who will Yoda and Vader fight against in a final round if not one anoher?
