This was on BBC One a few nights back. I'd always wanted to see it so Istayed up and I'm glad I did! It's one of the creepiest things I've ever seen, and it doesn't overdo the gore. But it is psychologically creepy, mainly due to Harvey Stephens (Damien). His expressive little face is enough to have you quaking in fear.

Most of the deaths are incredibly well orchestrated. And Gregory Peck as the boy's diplomat father puts in a really good performance. I liked it a lot!

I'd never seen it till a year ago cause I thought it was too scary

I'm glad I finally watched it though.....it's a classic and the boy playing Damien is very scary in the role. The ice skating scene sticks out in my mind.......very creepy!

I love the Omen ever since I first seen it when I was about six or seven ...it scared the living bejesus out of me and still today leaves me a little uneasy...The music adds a hell of a lot to the atmosphere too and really is a magnificent score....its creepy on its own without even the film's visuals.
All the deaths are fantastically staged and set up and little Damien was extremely well chosen but then again the whole cast I felt was perfectly selected.

I know what you mean about the ice skating scene too Cat thats a brill moment in Damien: Omen 2 ...that film I love aswell and in many ways prefer to the first film but both are fantastic.

The Third is watchable but not a scratch on the the first two......the fourth however is awful in my opinion and I would recommend to avoid it if all possible

I'm considering getting the Pentology DVD set, apparently its cheap at the moment.
