Anybody else see this? There were pictures in today's paper of the new costume for Doctor Who and it looks like an old-style- schoolteacher's outfit! He'll be wearing a tweed jacket, trousers and old-fashioned boots with a tie......

yep its rather old fashioned alright though i wouldn't mind his new assistant on my arm or in my tardis  I think that bow tie would be spinning

she reminds me of an english actress who was about in the late 70's and 80's...can't think of her name though .....same hair colour and eyes

Wasn't Jane Asher was it? She's the only actress from that era I would know who looked like that.

no it wasn't Asner bud ...oh well one day an old film or show will come on and i'll see her and i'll let you all know
they could be trying to bring the character back to his roots after all remember how Pertwee and Tom Baker use to dress
