I took advantage of my new found short term status as a man of leisure by going to see the new 'Transformers' film. Having enjoyed the first one I didn't really know what to expect from this but I think I can safely say this tops it. Sam ( Shia LaBeouf) goes off to 'college' but it isn't too long at all before he's called back into the heart of the civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons and all hell breaks loose! Some of the action scenes are spectacular but if you want cerebral entertainment this isn't it- some of the dialogue and plot seems contrived. But if you're willing to suspend some disbelief for a few hours and (like me) loved the original series in younger years I can almost certainly guarantee you'll love it. Plus Megan Fox is in it, and she's lovely......

Forget Megan Fox...it's got Bumblebee in it

I'm glad you thought it was good Morphy, some critics have said it's just a rehash of the 1st film!

To an extent it is, but to me there was sufficient new ground covered even if I could have guessed most of what was coming- don't know if they're going to make a third film in the near future but it's certainly now set up nicely for that eventuality.

It's a good old fashioned turn your brain off action film with no hidden messages, trying to make it sound important. In other words, brilliant! I don't know what the reviewers were expecting it to be. It sure as hell wasn't meant to be held in the same regards as the films of Bergman, Kubrick or Lean. It's pure popcorn fun!

i am looking forward to seeing this film too.....the trailers look good i hope there is more of Optimus Prime in this one though....he was always my favourite .......but its purely platonic Cat

All messing aside if i were to win the euromillions and was a multi millionaire i think would be back collecting old toys like that....i'd have rooms just displaying the stuff
