I am kind of looking forward to this series well cautiously I am ..... the comment you made there Cat about stretching out the whole thing kind of is true I reckon...as the prequels to me were all about stretching it out to the expanded universe for example I would have loved for the three films to have been set through the clone wars rather than us just getting the tail end of it in the last film but you see Lucas knew that he left it all open for himself to sell cartoons and books about it...it almost looks like the expanded universe options became more important than the actual prequel films...well to me it did....Another example was Jabba I would have liked to have seen more of him and his criminal network but Lucas again was holding back because of this new live series that he knew he would do .....I also think there will be a proper explanation about Yoda and Ben returning as ghosts too

With a bit of luck it will be good ..I do like the idea that it may be set in a criminal world like the Hutts with bountyhunters and stuff

I read somewhere that the focus was going to be on the rise of the Empire and formation of the Rebel Alliance- I've got my hopes set for maybe seeing Vader's first real missions for the Empire on screen ( Jedi hunting was mentioned which sounds good).

yep i think a big focus will be circulating around the rebel aliance's early set up....but Lucas has stated that the big characters like Vader will not feature or not much anyway and will be more to do with smaller ones or new characters altogether...Boba Fett will definitely be in them though.....the last i heard too was that it was going to be principly about bounty hunters or the Hutt's criminal network

Apparently Daniel Logan who played the young Boba in the prequel films is reprising the role and Fett will be taking missions from the Empire for at least part of the series.

all sounds good...its the writing though and character development which will be key ...i just hope Lucas has learned from the disastrous prequels in this regard

Lets hope he banishes awful dialogue..some in the prequels was utter rubbish I thought!

oh yeah mate don't get me started on it ...i absolutely detested some of the dialogue ...it was cringe worthy but really he focused in my opinion far too much on the politcs and lovey dovey stuff in the prequels

Well, I would say the politics were important, as after all the galaxy does go from a Republic to an Empire! But yeh, the romancey stuff was more than a little awful.......

okay it was important i agree bud but it could also have been cut down alot and been more the back drop to the action like the original trilogy films.....well thats what i thought
