Tom Ellis is actually quite a strange choice I think...I remember him alright he was the Doctor in Eastenders that had a thing with Little Mo but I didn't think he was all that popular ...now if they were definitely getting an ex eastender star I would have thought Nigel Harman would have been chosen because all the ladies liked him
Ellis was in an earlier Who episode too which could be why they have him tipped...he was in the Last of the Timelords....I think he was the guy helping Martha..wasn't he? _________________

I don't even remember him from that Who episode....shows what a big impression he made Apparently, Steven Moffat's saying he thought Peter Davison and Paul McGann were the best Doctors and he thinks the new Doctor should be older....like a Grandad type figure! If Bernard Cribbins wasn't already Donna's Grandad.....he'd have made a jovial Doctor! |

Being honest with you I like that thought on the doctor because I agree ...I Really don't think there should be a love interest between him and assistants like before and instead the Doctor should be an older character though more Father than Grandad I think _________________

I always though that Paul MacGann showed promise and it was a shame he never got a series for him to develop. _________________ "Well, first of all, there's 4 of you. Your not exactly lone." |

How about Stephen Fry as the Doctor? I think he'd be quite good in the part.... _________________ The Dark Side is a pathway to many abilities, some considered to be..unnatural. |

Well, he certainly wouldn't be coping off with the female assistants, would he? That could be a good choice, but unfortunatly, I can't see it happening. _________________ "Well, first of all, there's 4 of you. Your not exactly lone." |

The latest news is that Colin Salmon's in talks with the BBC to become the first black Doctor Who. I know he's been linked to the role before and he was tipped to be the first black James Bond before the part went to Daniel Craig instead. He's already appeared in Who as a character called Dr Moon.
A BBC source said "He made a good impression when he appeared and bosses think the time is right to have the first black Doctor."
