It could well be they're thinking of Gwen taking over from Jack sometime in the future Luc. I noticed Eve Myles saying Gwen "is a born leader" and something about finding her true role in Torchwood. John Barrowman would want to leave the show eventually so it makes sense to have Gwen ready to take over.

It'll be interesting to see what happens after this 1 week mini series.....how long before they make another series and will it go back to being a full series? I can't wait to see the mini series....I hope it's on soon

Yeah I suppose it makes sense really to have her as back up though will that flip flop ever leave the show... thats the question

As for after the mini series ends... they do seem to be very vague on this don't they ...letting it rest by the sounds of it on the success of this new limited series so if it doesn't do that well we could end up with no follow up..

I have you worried now don't I

He does seem to crop up all over the place....I hear he's doing a music type show on BBC1 next with Denise Van Outen!

It could be they want to see how this mini series does before they commit to any more series? Or it's possible they could concentrate on story arcs in future that last for 5 episodes each time.....that gives the story more time to develop? No I'm not worried Luc

....I like Torchwood but Doctor Who's better!

I just thought it strange that Torchwood seems to have to wait to see how this series does before another one will be considered while Dr Who we all know will definitely have a full season after this years specials
