|
|
Well everyone (most) of us enjoys collecting something; whether it be lladro figurines, beer mats or films - i enjoy collecting films which were dubbed the Video Naties, and which were duly banned in 1984; after this date films were given an 18 certificate - so the horrors prior to the certification are X rated or R rated horrors and are collectively known as pre cert horrors. These are highly collectable and become harder to get as each year goes by (thus up in value too).
The DPP39 is a much harder set of film, comprising of the aforementioned video nasties banned in 1984...................as there are only 39 to get the prices vary:
the easy ones to get - you can pick up on e bay for £10, £15 or £20; but the harder ones run into the hundreds of £'s
some you may have heard of are:
The Burning
Zombie Flesheaters
The Snuff
Expose
Cannibal Ferox
among 34 others
they must be original and not the remakes (a little like collecting books where the 1st editions are worth something, whereas everything else is a reprint) - so anything with 18 is no good
phew, hope you enjoyed reading

Ah so that's the DPP39......I remember seeing a collection of previously banned films (either on Amazon or at a bootfair) but I didn't look to see what was in it!
It's not the type of thing I'd collect but it sounds like you've got quite a valuable collection there Scorp if you ever decide to sell them. |

beast in heat is total crap
the snuff is an argentinian film called slaughter that flopped big big time - so a director bought the film 5 years later and hired the cast to change the end.......to a pretend snuff made availbale to the public as REAL
the last 4 minutes (the snuff part) is worth watching for a giggle
the burning is very good though _________________ "i'd buy that for a dollar"

There is a good few of those types of Nazi torture/s&m films out there isn't there?? I think I seen one years ago but I don't think it was Beast in Heat...in saying that it was crap too
I have heard about the Snuff movie but I didn't realise the story behind it ....the last part sounds intriguing
I'll try to get The Burning _________________
