It would be funny if he managed to use his stage moves in combat...

I have visions of him running across a war zone to 'A little less conversation' playing and him shaking that pelvis whenever he gets a minute

It could've been a deadly finishing move if needed I guess! Funny we should be on the subject, as I'm reading 'Careless Love', which is the second volume of one of the definitive biographies of the King at this moment, and it starts with his stint in the army and being stationed in Germany.

Was he stationed ion Germany?? Really?? I would have thought they would have kept him as far away as possible? Perhaps fly hi in to entertain troops somewhere? Was this after Germany surrendered and they were still fighting the Japs?

Indeed he was, and it's also where he met Priscilla, who was the daughter of a senior commander within the army.

Here put me down now....  I think I was taking stupid pills the other night when I wrote that last post.....of course Elvis wasn't fighting during World War 2

I didn't realise that about her father either....I guess he thought it okay for Elvis to take his 14 year old daughter?
