Brilliant!!
Actually the Meddling Monk was much more of a comedy fellow and villain than someone like the Master or the Rani.....I read this about the character....
The Monk was presented as a comic figure: a fairly well-meaning but childish man who was not half as clever as he thought he was, and who never seemed to realise the seriousness of what he was doing. The fact that his plans always failed to come to fruition, at least on screen, also helped maintain the comic tone, disguising how dangerous a person like the Monk could really be.
He apparently changes time for his amusements or what he percieves to be for the better
I think Stewart could really bring life to the part Oh and incidentally The Monk is a possessor of a stolen Mark IV TARDIS – superior to the Doctor's and with a fully functioning chameleon circuit

I can see Peter Butterworth as a bumbling, childish character cause that's the type of character he always played! I wonder if Stewart will play it the same way or be more sinister behind the childish comedy front?
A Tardis Mark IV?!! I'm imagining a souped-up Tardis now |

I hope he plays it more comedic otherwise he may aswell be just The Master ...I do think there has to be a distinct difference between both enemies
I'm dying to see another Tardis in the new series ones and I can't wait to see how the use chameleon circuit and what different modern things today will his Tardis become _________________

I know Stewart had some comedy moments on TNG, but he never seemed quite right somehow because he has this serious actor persona about him! But I hope he does appear in Doctor Who and we get to see how he plays the Monk.
A Mark IV Tardis sounds excellent....I can't wait to see it |

He did play a comedy type parody of himself on Extras which I thought he did very well babe but I do know what you mean...he's generally better at the more serious roles still as you and Morphy are saying it could be great to see and has great promise _________________

I've also read that more classic enemies could be returning- the Ice Warriors among them.... _________________ The Dark Side is a pathway to many abilities, some considered to be..unnatural. |
