It's finally coming to BBC Three, on May 4 ( see the pun there?). Seth McFarlane's turned his hand to spoofing ' A New Hope' with Peter Griffin as Han Solo, Lois is Princess Leia, Cleveland and Quagmire are R2D2 and C-3PO, Chris is Luke Skywalker, Mr Herbert is Obi Wan Kenobi and Stewie plays Darth Vader, with Mayor West assisting him as Grand Moff Tarkin.

I've seen the odd Youtube clip and it looks quite funny. If its successful there will be a follow up so here's hoping.

Oh Brill..

...I've seen this episode its very funny...I absolutely love the old pervert....he's just so wrong but I think he's hilarious

and he stands out as Obi Wan...check out the opening Star Wars bit too with the yellow words in space

Nice, I shall look out for it. Apparently even George Lucas himself loves Family Guy which is nice to hear.

Yup. Lucas is a fan. He let them use the original soundtrack and sound effects in the episode. Not sure if this is on the regular edition, but on the special edition one of the features is Seth MacFarlane interviewing 'Ol Georgie boy.

I didn't hear that interview Jipdog? did you both hear though apparently they were asked to curtail down some of the incest jokes they had going...there is still one in there but there must have been more

...if it does become a standard special like The Simpsons Halloween Specials I expect to see much more incest jokes in The Empire Strikes Back one

I think they should do more specials- the only Family Guy one I remember seeing is the set of episodes based on suggestions by fans of the show. Plus they reference so many films, TV shows etc they could probably afford to spoof loads of them in specials.

They've already done some others, like 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' etc. I would love to see them do a couple of Halloween specials ripping off classic horror films.

which was very good too...If they do the Halloween ones I'd ike them to take the odd swipe at the Simpsons specials aswell
