You know babe when I seen the first pic with Spock and Kirk I was a little worried because it reminded me of the internet Trek series New Voyages    but I have to say the other photos look great ...the uniforms are sligtly darker and Kirk is wearing Black too?? Whats with that I wonder?.... Perhaps thats his preferred uniform when younger? I like the pic where he is on the Captains chair....he does resemble Kirk there I think...

As for Spock..Your right that pic does resemble his role as Sylar in fact in a way he kind of looks angry which he really shouldn;t because of his suppressed emotions but we'll have to see the way the film plays out perhaps its just the way its taken or perhaps there is reason for it

Either way it has me excited even more now...I really think this film will be great

I thought the first pic looked strange too....almost as if it's a cgi version of the characters   The black uniform could be a t shirt type garment that fits under the jacket....if you look at Spock you can see the black underneath his jacket. If you remember, in the Enterprise series, the crew wore black t shirts under their "boiler suit" type outfits so maybe that's a nod to the Enterprise show?

I think the actor playing McCoy in the last pic looks very similar to DeForrest Kelly   but did you notice Kirk seems to have a bandaged left hand in that pic?

Yep your right the black shirt he wears is the cadet shirt and I think it is the one underneath all the uniforms the crew are wearing

And yep I noticed the bandaged arm he must break it during the film    It really looks good

Here is the original pics that Cat give the link to before  with more freshly released ones and more info too

- The action begins at a time pre-Kirk's birth with an attack on the starship USS Kellvin by the vicious Romulan captain Nero (Eric Bana).

- Most of the film follows the blooming friendship of Kirk and Spock, how the crew came together.

- Trek canon stuff shown or mentioned include the doomed Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood), Sulu's swordsmanship, and classic lines like "I have been, and always shall be, your friend."

- The opening sequence is "an emotionally wrenching passage that culminates with a mythic climax sure to leave zealots howling 'heresy."

- Sequences that will be shown include an awe-inspiring introduction of the Enterprise, a daring ice planet escape, and action up in the skies of Vulcan"

- The new-look hand phasers are "sleek silver gizmos with spring-triggered barrels that revolve and glow in the transition from 'stun' to 'kill'"

- Chris Pine beat out two other candidates who tested for Kirk in scenes with Zachary Quinto. His uniform is black in the photos because it's the standard space cadet uniform.

- Leonard Nimoy has scenes with the young Spock and possibly the young Kirk as well.

- The new bridge has handrails for the crew to grip onto during battles.

We'll all get our first real look at the film when the trailer is attached to "Quantum of Solace" on November 14th

It's sure to be a hit cause most Star Trek fans will flock to see it

Thanks for the extra info Luc   ........handrails on the bridge must mean lots of diving to the left and right pretending the Enterprise has been hit

Fairplay. No idea when we see the trailer at the cinema over here then? I know we'll be able to see it online but would rather see it on the big screen with meaty speakers!
