Tagline: 8 Strangers. 8 Points of View. 1 Truth.

I seen Forrest Whitaker on Jonathan Ross on Friday night and they showed the trailer for his new film..Vantage Point...and I have to say it looks the business....it is a good idea...its basically about the President of the US getting assassinated and we see it from different people's views bringing us back to the same fifteen minutes of time revealing more and more as we see each perspective...apparently just as you think you have it sussed you see it from a different angle and it puts it all up in the air again

Aswell as Whitaker it also stars Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, Bruce McGill, Edgar Ramirez and Zoe Saldana

Should be out on the 7th of March in the UK

The trailer's been shown on tv these past few days and it does look very good.......nice to see Matthew Fox in it too   I like these types of films when the story keeps twisting so you're never sure what's coming next.

I watched this the other night and I really enjoyed it, it grabs you from the beginning and keeps your attention and guessing right through to the end...which really is my type of film
Its actually quite clever revealing only so much in the early views and then as each view is revealed you see more and more. The cast is also exellent....Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver and Forrest Whitaker are all very good. I wasn't however that impressed with Zoe Saldana then again her part is small and for me not very realistically written...in fact my only slight irritation with the film was that it had normal people like Whitaker's character acting more like news cameramen than the actual news cameramen themselves    and Saldana who plays a news correspondent really is too emotional and paniky...in saying that perhaps American reporters are like this?? What I do know is if she worked for the BBC she would be serving the scones in the canteen   . I can't really say anymore about the film as you really need to see it to discuss it

All and all well worth the watch...though just prepare... its one of those films that keeps you watching intensely incase you miss something. Well it did with me

I'll be seeing it soon so I can post more about it then.

I did read though that it gets annoying seeing the same events over and over again (I think they meant hearing the President's speech a few times!)

Oh I didn't find it annoying at all I enjoyed each rewind....like its not exactly the same footage used all the time its different stuff with the same background.

I've seen it   .......it's got plenty of twists and turns and nothing is as it seems. Every time you see it from one person's viewpoint the film rewinds back to the same time and shows another person's viewpoint......I liked how you got a few extra moments each time that established something extra.

I know what you mean about Zoe Saldana Luc but considering what happened it's no wonder she was panicky   Dennis Quaid was excellent but is it me, or does he look more like Harrison Ford the older he's getting?!

Yeah your right he is getting more Harrison Ford looking...who'd have thought

As for Zoe Salanda's character ...I still maintain she was far too panicky babe....she was mean't to be a reporter...ready and willing to report the unexpected...yet when it happens she crumbles into this emotional mess on camera   Could you imagine her in Iraq or Afghanistan?
