Catnapper
What happened to Rod?! ........has he lost his shirt on the horses?!!
roddglenn
lol sorry had to nip off and do some w*rk.
Yes, it was Haydock races. Won a bit on the geegees which helped pay for the copious amounts of alcohol that were consumed!
Lucifer_666
Maybe he won a load and is off spending like mad
roddglenn
lol nah it wasn't enough to pay for the weekend, but it helped finance some of it.
Lucifer_666
Great stuff mate at least you made something back
big aundy
aye always nice to get money back .
roddglenn
Indeed - makes a change for me! I very rarely win owt at the horses.
Lucifer_666
Me neither Rodd ..... its a mugs game anyway...grand for a bit of fun but the majority of times the Bookie always wins
roddglenn
Aye, totally agree. A little flutter every now and then is ok, but it is so easy for some people to become addicted to it.
Lucifer_666
Its amazing here in Ireland how many people get suckered into it Rodd
Madamhoney
I'm too mean to gamble, a pound a week on the lottery is quite enough for me, and maybe a few 2p's down the arcade twice a year - LOL!
roddglenn
Yeah gambling addiction is a huge problem.
Nowt wrong with a few 2ps down the arcades! My mum used to take me and my brother once a year to Whitley Bay when we were little to play in the arcades. We'd save up all our coppers for months before hand. Was always great fun. Whitley Bay's really run down now unfortunately. Needs some major investment to tidy the place up and start attracting visitors again.
Lucifer_666
2p's? You must play that throw money into a glass box machine that once there is enough the mechanism slides the change off and you get it.....sorry I don't know what they call it
roddglenn
lol that's the machine I was thinking of (as well as the 2p bandits). I don't know what that machine is called either.
Lucifer_666
The moving change shelf machine ....perhaps??
roddglenn
It rolls off the tongue!
Catnapper
I loved playing that machine......and no, I don't know what it's called either
Lucifer_666
I sense sarcasm Rodd
I very rarely played it because I never won when I did but I remember my Mother used to love it ...that and the poker ones too
It could be called the 'Copper Pusher' ring any bells with any of you?
Catnapper
Was it something to do with tumbling, waterfall or cascade?
roddglenn
I like it. Using my Godly powers I shall hence forth decree that it shall be known as THE COPPER PUSHER!
Catnapper
You shoved policemen?!
Lucifer_666
All those words ring a bell babe....oh now hold on oh yeah they are a few of my sexual maneuvers And yep we shove policemen Only you would think of that
Your feeling pretty divine now aren't you Rodd
