Too much coffee and you see ghosts?!This is a strange theory from the University of Durham researchers.....they say people who drink a lot of coffee. or who have large amounts of caffeine daily, have an increased chance of seeing or hearing ghosts! It's apparently a side effect of too much caffeine consumption!
I'm glad I'm a tea drinker

Not to burst your bubble Cat, but tea contains the same amount of caffeine as coffee! In some cases, more!

I drink lots of diet coke so i must be seeing spooks all over the place
It can't possibly be true?... i suspect they mean hallucinations of some sort but even that I think is dubious

I would think hair raising hallucinations and tremors would be because of caffeine overload...not because people have seen ghosts! These scientists come up with all kinds of bizarre theories!

You do get a buzz from too much caffeine though don't you? I can't say I've ever seen ghosts after too much tea or coffee but I have ended up being a bit hyper a few times after having to keep myself awake to write essays etc!

You know this conversatin just reminded me of an old rumour that used to the rounds when i was a kid......anyone remember Space Dust...it was that sweet powder that used to pop and sizzle on your tongue .....years ago they used to say if you emptied a full packet into your mouth and opened up a can of coke and drank it quickly you could literally cause your head damage the even funnier part is that i put the research about ghost seeing in the same league as this

I don't remember Space Dust but when I was a kid I heard a similar story about sherbet- I never saw anything to prove the theory right though unless you count raised energy levels as a side effect!
