The Lone Ranger Rides Again!Total Film are reporting that Disney and The Pirates of the Caribbean writers, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, are joining forces for a big screen movie of The Lone Ranger. It'll be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and TF says "They'll strip the story back to its 1930s origins - a group of Texas Rangers is ambushed and seemingly slaughtered by outlaws. But the sole survivor is nursed back to health by a Native American named Tonto"
Believe it or not but I've actually got a Lone Ranger DVD  It was in a reduced basket in the Christmas sales and I got 4 episodes of the tv series for 99p

Sounds actually quite promising.....believe it or not but I used to have the Lone Ranger action figure...you could take his guns out of his holsters and put them into his hands...I had good fun with that particular toy....I didn't have Tonto now
I always think of the old black and white series with trumpets playing and the narrator saying "Its the Lone Ranger"

You should have kept the toy....it could be worth something if the film goes ahead!
I'd have Lou Diamond Phillips as Tonto but who'd make a good Lone Ranger?

I lost the guns first and then eventually the figure itself....but I did enjoy it
Phillips would actually be quite good in the part babe ...well thought of 
I suppose anyone who has the square jawline ...or leading man kind of thing could play The Lone Ranger...Cristian Bale...Russell Crowe...as long as its not Nic Cage I don't really mind
