The final curtain.......Its just hit me how little time I have left of the student life! Precisely three months down the line I'll be finished with my degree- my dissertation's due May 5 ( a struggle between my urge to crack on with it and my oh so easy distraction from most tasks), I handed in an essay yesterday, got a presentation to do after Easter, a practical project due on June 3 (my last deadline), then two exams and I'm done.
I'll freely admit to being bored of academia- the constant cycle of things to do just leaves me tired out after days when I've had classes to go to, and I find it really hard to just sit and do work as I'll either do too little and feel guilty for it or try too hard to do a fair chunk and knacker myself in the process! It all just leaves me feeling a bit disillusioned and I'm at the stage now where I just want to finish and look to further my journalistic aspirations- get a job and earn some cash, more simply.
Luckily my friends on campus are going some way towards keeping me sane, I shall miss the whole communal aspect of university if not some of its academic ins and outs!

You're bound to have mixed emotions on your final few days at uni......sadness at leaving, but excitement at what lies ahead! With any luck, you'll find a job quickly....or will you have a short break to unwind before launching yourself on the jobs market?!

Well, I'm intending on getting a CV done ASAP, then after I finish uni see what happens with regard to a job- I'm hoping to also have some time to relax and maybe even go on a little holiday somewhere just for a bit of a rest and some relaxation!

you'll be grand bud... i do think your right to consider a holiday first though...give yourself a break
oh and i hope your planning to stick around our little community here on FilmFlicking....wouldn't be the same without you bud

Yep i'm the same as Cat i feel like we've been with you right through it all.... those drinking sessions,  the smoking hash nights,
and the college women....ahhhhhhhhh yes.... the college women.  ..
I really do feel in some way Morph that i have helped you get through them all each in their turn

The drinking sessions yes, the hash hell no as I wouldn't dream of touching the stuff, and the women sadly lacking for some reason! But its been one hell of a ride and I shall no doubt miss it in years to come.

Oh, I have done- very much so! I've learned a lot about myself and others as well as the obvious academic stuff.

Indeed so, its been an eye-opener and a source of much fun and merriment with a few low points but mostly highs.

Yeh, people do stress that to college students who look to go to uni and it's very true- its more than just studying, it becomes a way of life after a while.

Yep...you'll miss it for a while but once you get doing other things...different work and stuff you'll get into that way of life too

Well, yeh- I'm looking to get into music and/or sports journalism so I'm hoping to get into that mindset once I can get a CV etc together.

lets not completely throw away the idea of film director either bud i still have high hopes for you.....you could then perhaps make one of scripts into a masterpiece of film

lots...they are all bubbling in my head like a mad lab of plot potions..all i need is the ...erm,...deidication and delicacy to put the right ones together ...to tweak here and there i've a classic just waiting to happen

I'm sure you do- the best thing you can do if you want to get writing is start jotting it down and fleshing it out, as I was taught in a screenwriting class.

 maybe in another life...an alternate me is a trainspotter i wear glasses and have a woolie hat i don't know why i'm laughing ..its kind of a scary thought
