Starship Troopers 3

Paul Verhoeven’s Starship Troopers is now aged more than a decade, and while it’s common for fans to say that the film was ahead of its time, it’s better to say that it arrived outside the time-space continuum altogether. In a perfect world, all movies would be $100 million midnight events satirizing various establishments while offering generous dollops of startling sci-fi special effects, nudity, splattered guts and the Doog. In reality, the second Starship Troopers sequel, Starship Troopers: Marauder is headed to a shelf near you, as these new photos from the flick attest. No glimpses of the giant bugs, though.

Casper Van Dien returns as Rico and for Star Trek fans Jolene Blalock (T'Pol) stars too

Synopsis:
The war against the Bugs continues! A Federation starship crash-lands on the distant alien planet OM-1, stranding beloved leader Sky Marshal Anoke and several others, including comely but tough pilot Lola Beck.(Blalock) It's up to Colonel Johnny Rico, reluctant hero of the original Bug Invasion on Planet P, to lead a team of Troopers on a daring rescue mission.

I've never seen ST2 so I don't know if it was any good or not but some of these straight to dvd films can be very good.......they sometimes can't find a distributor or they haven't got the finances for a big screen film. But I liked the first film and this one's got T'Pol in it!

The sequel to Starship Troopers babe was beyond crap I have to admit....and its surprising because the original is such an amazing film. I think they thought they could do an Alien film in a way as in making the sequel more horror like and  claustrophic rather than the kick ass action of the first movie (action like the movie Aliens) but it just seemed to me that it was more about saving money than it was a preferred change in content or genre.
If poor Casper Van Dien's career had taken off he definitely would not be in this movie I can tell you    but it will be interesting to see where they go with it now and of course an added bonus is TPol too

Well the Trailer for this is out now and I have to admit to kind of liking it....I like the fact that it has brought the whole media thing of the first film back and of course Rico...it does look fun albeit a lower budget which you can even tell by looking at the first few seconds of this
Still I think I will see it

It's good to see an Enterprise actress in it too

I might be tempted to get the dvd
Lucifer_666

Yep and did you notice Cat that they say in the trailer that "Today is a good day to die!" which is a well know saying by Worf in Trek...I wonder was that a kind of wink there? or am I just over analysing?
big aundy

cat don't even bother with ST2 , it was aweful , some hot chicks but the film was murder
Catnapper

It's really that bad Andy?!

Yeah I noticed that Luc and I never even connected it to Worf     You never know if it's a crafty ST link or not!
big aundy

it is , it's just totally stupid and riuined the franchise now i think unless they can make number 3 better or as good as the first
Lucifer_666

Yeah I agree Sta the second film is bad...it had a low budget so they resorted to try and make a more claustrophobic kind of film...more dark sets ...less effects...zero actors equals travesty....after the first film we should have gotten a great sequel but alas no
big aundy

i think the second film should have been up attacking there home planet in order to wipe them out
Lucifer_666

Funny I thought it would have been the bugs coming to Earth in the sequel or both Sta
