I have also been banning the names aswell as soon as I delete any spammer which means no spammer can return with the same name now It might help put a few off

You will get a lot of spammer that is the low of having a forum :( my forum used to get around 60 a day that we had to deal with until we sorted tht out with a "Are you human" question on the sign up page that is working for now

I was on one forum where the Admin had gone awol......I kept sending him messages saying the forum was overrun with spammers (you couldn't see the proper topics for spammers topics). He never replied, then one day the forum closed down without any warning
