Shine A LightI really want to see this. It's Martin Scorsese's concert film/documentary on the Rolling Stones and it looks pretty good! The Stones are one of my favourite bands and apparently the film is a good representation of the experience of seeing Mick Jagger and company live.
Apparently the director's always wanted to make a film like this and loves the band too. I know he's used their songs a lot on the soundtracks to his previous films.

Yep I heard about this one alright ....I did think it was kind of a strange project for Martin Scorsese to do but definitely something I'm looking forward to

I suppose it is a bit of a departure for him but I also think its nice that he can combine two of his interests as I hear he's a big music fan.

I agree with you Morphy I think its great too that he can jump into this kind of genre too
I seen a trailer for the soundtrack and it features Christina Agueilla and Jack White doing collaborations with the Stones...they must be in the film too

They are I believe...I wasn't surprised to hear that Jack White pops up but Christina Aguilera seemed a surprising guest performer, didn't think she did good old rock and roll.

I was surprised too but its a good thing I reckon Morphy...it will be interesting to see now

I'm really curious to see how it compares to their previous concert film 'Gimme Shelter' which was made around the time of their infamous free concert at the Altamont Speedway.

Oh I haven't seen it but it might be an idea to see that before I watch the new one?? Though chances are I will just see the new one

Well, 'Gimme Shelter' was made when they were younger and is a good insight into the time in which it was made, and I see 'Shine A Light' as maybe doing a similar thing for the older and wiser Stones.
