RETRO GAMINGOn top of my collecting the DPP39 i have started collecting SNES games; MINT only, with box and instructions.......anyone else collect from the retro pile?
thing is i loved my SNES and seen as it is all about the game play, i thought i'd go back and get a SNES, then maybe a mega drive an NES and a mastersystem.............even though my 1st computer was a comodore 64 i think the games' raphics are just a tad too bad to go with

I used to have a Sega Megadrive ...I had very few games though....I used to love playing Desert Strike at the time
I do have an Amiga 500 + and a dose of games in storage ....oh and a Nintendo 64 ...i was tempted to pooch that out just to play Goldeneye again.....it was a great game

well, i have now bought an N64, and a megadrive
i bought the N64 purely for Goldeneye - what a game that baby is!!

hi my name is darren im a mate of scorpio chris who told me about this site.
my interests include collecting the dpp 39.
consoles i have are. nes,snes,jap snes,wii,c64,gamecube,spectrum 16k,n64.
up until 5 yrs ago i had none of these old retro consoles.
then i found out about retrogames.so i started buying these old consoles.
fiorst the snes which i think for quality games is the best ive seen.
then the nes, then the jap snes.
artwork on the jap snes game covers is briliant.
currently playing dkc 3 trying to get 100 per cent.
very tough.

actually chris im not a big fan of goldeneye.
i prefer perfect dark myself.
thing is chris u get one computer then u get hooked and get another and another.
u just cat stop.
thing is i found out about retrogames accidently types in retoro games shops on the pc and there it was.
other interests are collecting lord of the rings swords, and all associated memorabila.

SNES, is probably the best of all consoles IMO.......so i can't better that
LOL

i'll always have a fondness for my Amiga 500+...i think thats why i still have it packed away somewhere who remembers Zool??
|
cannibal man
|
do you think you will ever play your amiga500+ again lucifer.
talking of the n64 nintendo i heard thought the 64 was a disappointment.
hard to believe this when ut had games like goldeneys perect dark, mario 64.dk64 majora's mask. ocarina of time.
all great games.
|

|
the 64 was a flop for me - i hated the transitional phase from 2D to 3D.......i much preferred platfrom games like castlevania, manic miner, jet set willy, sonic, mario etc etc etc etc.............far and away better than mario 64
but, nothing much comapres to the immensity of Tomb Raider
thats why retro gaming is such a buzz for me
retro for me is the commodore 64 - SNES is what i loved most

some day i think i will ...perhaps when i can actually get into it....its all stored away under a load of other stuff in an attic
Civilization was a game i used to play alot on it at the time
Remember Lylat Wars (Star Fox) for the N64 too

Scorpio
|
i was never a huge fan of star fox

for me my fave consoles are.
snes, never seen a console that made quality after quality game..
i could name at least 15 of them.
nes is another.with great games like the original metroid, and zelda.
legendary games that i palay to this day.
also the megaman series.class.!!!
and the console would be the spectrum.
games where so basic, but so addictive.
games like batman elite,salamander,cybernoid.
the list goes on and on.

well, i cannot get the bloody SNES i bought off ebay to work yet.....and i left feedback already...........i had to buy a scart lead for it and i just assumed that it was ok
|
cannibal man
|
well chris have u had any joy with the snes mate.
pity u had to buy a scart lead, but maybe the fella who sold u the snes said i don't care if its bad, someone will buy it.
he should have said the scart lead was not perfect though chris.
|
Scorpio
|
scart arrived today, but i still cannot get the bloody thing to work for me
|
cannibal man
|
sorry to hear that mate.
i wonder is it the snes itself not the scart lead.
by the way is the lead a new one.
if its not that might be the problem
or maybe you could buy a new snes.
i know a few sites.
can get a V G snes for 40 quid.
try retrogames.co.uk.
they are based in leicester.
