Remake of 'The Firm'Apparently Nick Love is directing a big screen remake of the 1989 TV film ' The Firm' ( originally helmed by Alan Clarke and starring Gary Oldman). It's yet another football hooligan film- centring around the activities of West Ham United's notorious Inter City Firm. It'll be released within the next few months, but I do question whether we really need yet another film of this type after the godawfulness of the likes of 'The Football Factory' ( another Love film), 'Green Street' etc, all of which were practically pointless endeavours!
Plus I don't really like the idea that such violence could be glamourised as nobody wants a return to the bad old days of the 1980s in this day and age plus it just ruins the game for the majority of honest, peace abiding fans.....

when i first read your title i thought it ewas the Tom Cruise film and that would been even more ludicrous
do you believe bud that a film can influence a football crowd? i'm not so sure

I thought it was the Cruise film too
Why have another football hooligan film when we've already had some before? Plus, we've already got a bad rep abroad when it comes to football, so this won't help!
