PS3 Trouble

I just thought I'd give you all who have a PS3 the heads up....I'm really annoyed I had a go on my ps3 last night and I went to load Pro Evo and the game froze so I turned the console off and rebooted only to discover no disc will now be recognised on my machine...I checked on the net and apparently this has been a common enough complaint and its the the Blue ray drive frigging up...I have to now get the console replaced....damned nuisance and also a disgrace considering the money thats been paid for the thing     ...Not Happy Bunny      and I know its under warranty and I don't have to pay but its still ridiculous...they should never have released the console if it was dodgy

First I've heard of a PS3 doing this. I thought it was just the first generation 360's that done it. I agree that companies shouldn't be releasing defective machines, but they just plead ignorance and say there is nothing wrong with them (Microsoft, we're looking at you!). My 360 died before Christmas. Ended up part exing it as I play on my WII more, but was giving consideration to upgrading to a PS3 and a HD tv, but if this is a problem that has affected a few people, then I have to reconsider. Cheers for the heads up Luc. Hope you get it sorted soon, mate.

Well I don't want to put people off the ps3 but it does concern me bud and I am questioning now in a year's time am I going to have the same problem again....its not exactly the  kind of glitch you expect after paying out that kind of money....hopefully I won't have any more trouble as I really do like the console myslef but it does leave a bitter aftertaste with me
