Project- 'Comic Or Cinema?'I'm currently working on a proposal for a research project entitled 'Comic Or Cinema?' aiming to look at whether fans of Marvel/DC Comics material enjoy the films adapted from them, and also what the appeal of these films is to the more casual cinemagoer. After completion of the proposal I hope to be able to carry out some audience research, so if you guys would like to help me out in any way feel free- I may post a questionnaire or poll of some sort when it all kicks off.

I'll certainly answer some questions. I'm one of those people who don't like comics but like some of the films.

Well I was a huge Marvel comics fan (kind of a DC fan too) as a kid and not to blow my own trumpet or anything but I would have a fair idea of many of the characters now portrayed in the films and are going to be portrayed in the next few years.... some of which I think have been hit and miss if I'm being honest going by what I reckon they should have been in the comics but you also got to remember that I also come from a generation of The Incredible Hulk tv series, Wonder Woman, Batman 60's series and the old Spiderman tv show which were all not up to scratch to the comic books but at the time you took what you could get

The reason I bring up the old stuff bud is because even though I think many films veer away from the comic books in some way or another and I and others could point out discrepencies I find myself more accepting of it than I thought I would be...and I do put that down to the older shows which kind of lowered the bar early on

I used to buy Marvel and DC comics when I was a child......I still have some but I can't say as I remember too much about the characters, that's why I like watching the films!
