Point Break 2?????Jan De Bont is set to direct the long-rumored sequel to Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 action slick fest 'Point Break'
Apparently...
The new film will take place 20 years after the disappearance of one of the criminal surfers (Patrick Swayze).
Both the original and sequel are written by W. Peter Iliff... and the film will be shot in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
I can't see Swayze returning with his health the way it is and to be honest I'm not sure if Reeves would either???

When Billy Dalton, military special ops and star surfer, is disqualified from the pro-surfing tour, he takes off for the coast of Bali looking for the perfect wave. While there he’s recruited by a private security force who are trying to find a gang known as The Bush Administration, surfing outlaws and modern day pirates who work like “The Ex-Presidents,” a bank robbing crew from Malibu twenty years ago.

The Sun says sources in Cannes are tipping the return of Reeves and Swayze. The ending of the original was kind of left open for Swayze to return and it would be good to see them both in a sequel but Swayze looks gaunt now because of the cancer and he might not be up to it?
I've only seen the film once so I'll have to dig out the dvd and watch it again

Well it is set 20 years after so I suppose Swayze could be in a bad way in the film and so his look at the moment could work...I'm still doubtful on whether both will return though

It all depends on how good the screenplay is too.....they don't want to be in a rubbish sequel!

I also didn't think the first film was all that great either ..but everyone to their own...I also think Reeves may see the move as a backward step in his career aswell which would put him off....though your right it could all end up depending on the script
