Jon Stewart was joking about that on the night....and he did a fake award with all the pregnant Nominees And the baby goes to..... Angelina Jolie...who wasn't there

He was very disappointing I thought Babe......then again I'm surprised they have him doing the Oscars...he's much more of a political comedian than anything...some bits were funny but overall I wasmn't that impressed ..you miss Billy Crystal..nobody comes close since he stopped doing it |

I always looked forward to Billy Crystal when the Beeb showed the Oscars......the part when he sat on Clint Eastwood's knee singing was hysterical I loved the movie montage he did too....very clever!

They were almost worth tuning in for alone I always thought....Crystal was great!!! This year was very bad they had nothing really sorted like that ...it was disappointing in that regard

I suppose they didn't have much time to put things together what with the writers strike dragging on. I read the viewing figures were down in the US for the Oscars.........come back Billy! |

I did actually say that in my review babe on the night that it felt exactly like they didn't have the time to write decent stuff and coordinate videos to go with it.... I do think ratings would sky rocket if they were to bring back Crystal

The ceremony was a lot shorter too so it affected things more.......though I prefer a shorter ceremony
I got to see some clips on youtube last night  It's not as good as actually watching on tv but at least I saw some of the Oscars! I wanted to see a clip of Owen Wilson but nobody's posted one yet

Well the Owen Wilson one was nothing special..I was just noting that it was good to see him back doing the necessaries
I think the fact that there was no absolute massive films out there this year too looking for Oscars may have effected its audience levels aswell |

I thought it was funny how everyone kept slipping.......Colin Farrell improvised brilliantly when he went back for another slide! |

Yeah I noticed that alright.....you'd think they would have had a better stage flooring or layout so people didn't slip like that
