One more down...thank God!God I hate presentations! Even though I know most of the people in my classes I can't abide standing in front of people and to add to the nerves there was the fact that today was my first ever individual presentation- it was for my Fantasy module at uni and I constructed an argument that Kiss (as in the rock band) were a pioneering media text with regard to both fantasy and sexuality owing to the fact they combined standard 'glam rock' aesthetics with elements of the carnival/circus tradition (fire eating etc). I'd woken up this morning in a right panic! But it turned out to be OK, once I started speaking I found myself growing in confidence even though I wouldn't say I was the best public speaker you could ask for. It was still quite scary just being in front of the group but I tried not to dwell on that, and I'm just hoping I get a good mark for my efforts as I put a lot of work into getting everything right beforehand.

Practically everyone gets nervous about doing a presentation - I remember a boy at my school who was shaking so much with nerves, the podium was shaking too! But at least you've got it out of the way and you gave an impressive presentation by the sounds of it

I wouldn't say impressive, I've probably done enough to pass but I was just a bundle of nervous energy, any preconceived ideas I'd had for how I was going to do it probably went straight out the window..........

At least you didn't go to pieces and you managed to make a full presentation, even if it didn't go exactly the way you'd planned it! So well done
