It has been reported that New Line Cinema are in discussions to make a biopic based around the story of pioneering hip hop group NWA. A script has been written and the movie will be produced by former members Dr Dre and Ice Cube alongside deceased cohort Eazy-E's widow Tomica Wright. Fellow ex- members MC Ren and DJ Yella have not yet confirmed whether they will be involved in any capacity.

No announcements have yet been made with regard to a director or casting for the project, bt it is hoped that it could be as successful as the company's earlier Notorious BIG film.

Well they're better known for their controversial lyrics than actual musical innovation- plus NWA was the springboard for Dre and Ice Cube in particular to launch their careers. If you fancy it I've picked some of their work for you to have a listen to-
