I caught the end bit of a story on the news early Sunday morning (before I went out carbooting!) It seems Lesbos islanders in Greece are protesting about gay people calling themselves lesbians. There was a surreal Monty Python type feel to the interview.......

BBC reporter to a male Lesbos islander: "Are you a Lesbian?"

Male Lesbos islander: "I am a Lesbian......but I am not homosexual"

My first thought was Davith would go absolutely crazy there on that island...you know the only gay in the village from Little Britain?

What a strange thing

.....though I suppose if the words 'Londoners' or 'British' started to be used to describe gay people or lets say paedophiles

I guess people there would be complaining too

You can understand their reasoning I suppose.....but at the same time they have lots of gay people holidaying there, so that's a boost to their tourist trade!

Maybe the islanders could be known as Lesboites or Lesbites!
