I was just listening to The Feeling's album though

Ipods are well worth getting Luc, I have one and its a worthwhile investment if you plan on using it a lot like I do.
Lucifer_666

The sister has one bud ...but I don't think I'd use one that often    ....I have a cd player in the car and sterios or the pc to play discs in the house...so its not something I really miss or need in my life...
Emperor Morphetine

Fair play then mate, I just like having something to listen to when I'm on the go.
Lucifer_666

I was thinking of getting one before bud but then a realisation hit me like a bolt from the blue....I don't walk anywhere
Madamhoney

I have an mp3 player, my OH wanted to get me an iPod for my birthday but I didn't want one. I'm getting a Sony Walkman phone instead. Just have this thing against iPod's ruling the music world - lol.
Lucifer_666

Even the name iPod Honey kind of brings up images of domination doesn't it?....you could imagine the leader of the Triffids being called iPod   Or is that just me?
Madamhoney

LOL Well they probably are a cover for the invasion of the bodysnatchers!!! The clue is in the name people!! Don't come crying to me when your iPod steals your body!!
Lucifer_666

We could lead the resistance movement Honey I always saw myself as a bit of a Mac Donovan (V) anyway    We could be the AntiPods?
Catnapper

It could be the title of a new film.....I, Pod   Will Smith could star!
Lucifer_666

I got that Duran Duran album at the time it was released
Madamhoney

Me too, I've got all their albums, hmm, I think so anyway - lol. Really wish i'd got to see them on their last tour.
Catnapper

I've got their Greatest Hits cd
Lucifer_666

Yep I like Duran Duran myself...I don't have all their albums so the greatest hits appeals to me ...I must get it some time...
I have to admit being more of a fan of their earlier stuff even though I did like Ordinary World...I like Hungry like the wolf and Save a Prayer

I've recently discovered the wonder that is funk music (in particular James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone). So if anyone has any further recommendations on the funky front I'd appreciate them!
Madamhoney

I'd appreciate them too!! I love a bit of funk but haven't a clue where to start. It's something I've always meant to look into it.
Catnapper

"Play that funky music white boy....play that funky music right"......I love that song

I started with James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone, Honey. I'm also on the lookout for Parliament/Funkadelic compilations.
