No I haven't but it looks good mate ...I'll be interested to hear what you think now

Saw it yesterday. A "return to form" as the critics say for Nicolas Cage. No time to mug or over emphasize his words, just straight forward acting and re-acting to the situations.

It is a thoughtful and visually impressive film, the plane crash sequence being particularly memorable.

Of course this type of movie has been done before you can see influences from everything from Deep Impact, The Day After Tomorrow and even Contact in its style.

The script is very deep, sometimes text book like in its prose, but it keeps you interested until the final frame.  The acting by the cast in particular Cage and Rose Byrne is terrific.

I would recommend it. A good Saturday night at the movies type movie, in fact.

I haven't seen it yet but it's one I've been wanting to see ever since I read about it last year. It's the type of film I like......and I hate to say it, but I think I'm becoming a Nic Cage fan

Sounds really good Nostromo

A Nic Cage Fan??? NOOOOoooooooo!!! Turn back to the light Cat

I've liked a few of his more recent films but I think it had more to do with the subject matter than him   ....though he was very good in The Weather Man cause his hangdog type of look suited the long suffering character he was playing
Lucifer_666

I'm only kidding with you...i don't think he's that bad...i do think he has gotten certain parts that i don't think suited him.....

I do love Gone in 60 Seconds and he's very good in that i think
big aundy

yeah this looks a good film ,not seen it yet , but i will , and yeah luc , some of the roles he has taken on have not suited his personna , but gone in 60 seconds is awesome film and he is brilliant in it .
Lucifer_666

Yep I really like Gone in 60 Seconds.....its a wonder they never did a sequel to it..... Gone in another 60 Seconds or something   or Gone in 30 Seconds

Gone In 60 Minutes. They're tasked with stealing Skoda Turbo's and Lada's. I can see the tagline now:

"3 Seconds to break into....... A lifetime to the end of the street!"
Lucifer_666

They end up pushing the cars to the garages    something tells me its not going to be as exciting somehow
Jipdog

It may be even more exciting. Think about it. The tension builds up as you think will they make it to the end of the street before the police arrive and get away with it... or not?
Lucifer_666

I suppose they could do lots of close ups on people's worried faces with some dynamic music as they sit going two mile an hour
Jipdog

There you go! Now we have a film on our hands!
Lucifer_666

suspense is our middle name
