Horse Whisperer writer rushed to hospitalNicholas Evans, who wrote the Horse Whisperer, his wife and members of their party were taken ill after picking wild mushrooms in Scottish woodlands which they cooked and ate. They were all taken to hospital.
I know eating the wrong kind of mushrooms is serious and can even cause death and I know it's no laughing matter.......but I smiled cause it seemed appropriate the writer of The Horse Whisperer was described as being in a "stable" condition

Can't beat a nice well cooked mushroom now and again, though I wouldn't have them all the time if I'm honest.

I used to will him to hurry up and finish the story
I read he doesn't like people making jokes about his height and that's why he always pokes fun at himself (I nearly put belittles himself then!)
