Hammer Back Making HorrorI just read there that the first Hammer Film Production since1979's The Lady Vanishes is now shooting in London. It's called 'Beyond The Rave' and is a vampire story set in London's rave underground. It stars Sadie Frost, Lucy from Bram Stoker's Dracula and features Ingrid Pitt in a cameo role as a character's mother. |

Beyond the Rave lol! I thought they'd missed the g off it!
Is this cause Hammer was bought by another company.....I've forgotten their name? So they're making new Hammer films now? |

Yep Cat and a lot of people were concerned that they were just going to make general movies but no they are goin g back to what Hammer does best .......Horror flicks and yep Sta lets hope its quality ones

They did a piece about Hammer Films on the news tonight and showed them filming Beyond the Rave........only for a brief moment though, so nobody got to see much! |

They were too busy talking to Hammer experts to show much Luc.....the experts wanted the film to have some of the cheesiness of the originals and it showed Christopher Lee as Dracula in one of the original Hammer films.
From what I saw of the new film......it looked glossy and much more modern looking than the originals did. It showed a small part in the club then it showed 2 people climbing through a hole....I don't know exactly where that fits in with the film though.

I think its a bit unfair to expect these new films to be thatr much like the original films ....its grand these experts saying oh make it cheesey ...but these are the very experts who will then slate the films when released....I think Hammer have to be clever...yes use the name use the nostalgia value however they have to do it in unique new ways or the whole francise will flop... I would love to see a reinvention of the Dracula, Werewolf and Frankenstein films....the Mummy ones too with plenty of scares and naked ladies

It looks good babe I like the idea that it is being released over the net in parts and then finally getting a full release...I think Hammer have to be inventive and initiative to bring the movies back as successes......I definitely do think they should remake some of the older films like Dracula, Wolfman, and Frankenstein |
