Green LanternScreenHub is reporting that THE GREEN LANTERN will shoot in Australia later this year, with the production being split between flooded New South Wales and fire-ravaged Victoria.
It must be crazy in Australia at the moment  
The movie is to feature Hal Jordan, not just because he's probably the most recognised and favourite Lantern, but because a second unit will be shooting the Avalon airshow in March, just outside of Melbourne.
(Jordan was a test pilot)
I just hope they make a decent movie

Is Ryan Gosling playing the lead cause I heard he was favourite for the role? The film's supposed to be keeping faithfully to Green Lantern's origins and the baddie could be Hector Hammond or Legion.
All these comic book films are getting confusing though  ...as well as Green Lantern, there's also Green Hornet and Green Arrow in the works too!

I'm not sure if Ryan Gosling is up for the role or not babe ...I suppose he has the look and yep I think they are keeping it very much to the comics alright...not that there has been a few Lanterns over the years but Hal Jordan was the most popular
I do tend to agree with you too even some one like me who would know the characters from years ago reading comics and being interested can get a bit muddled with all these green guys of late
