just seeing the trailors on tv , don't think it's a remake i think it's a new movie altogether . i could be wrong . oopppss my bad , just checked and it is classed as a remake

Oh it is definitely a remake alright mate... as I think Jason's mother is again a big part just like the original
This new remake has topped the US box office in its opening weekend taking in $42.2m over the three days
It has set a new record for the horror genre topping the $39.1m debut for 2004's The Grudge
Who'd have thought it eh?
