Fred Claus Growing up at the North Pole wasn't easy for Fred (Vince Vaughn), as he was constantly compared to his virtuous kid brother. As much as he tried, he could never measure up to Nicholas Claus (Paul Giamatti), who was the perfect saint. Nick grew up to be the embodiment of Christmas with his philanthropy and altruistic ways, whilst his older, disgruntled brother Fred grew up to be the exact opposite, a callous repo man who then stole whatever he repossessed. Unfortunately, Fred's deceitfulness finally catches up with him, and he ends up in jail. Amidst a furor of protests from Mrs. Claus (Miranda Richardson), Nicholas sympathizes with his brother and bails him out on one condition: Fred must come back to the North Pole, and repay his debt by making toys. The trouble though is that he is not exactly elf material, and with Christmas quickly approaching, Fred's antics could not only jeopardize the merriest time of the year at the North Pole, but also for millions of people around the world!
Its got a pretty good cast too.....Vince Vaughan, Paul Giamatti, Miranda Richardson, Kevin Spacey, Kathy Bates, Elizabeth Banks and a small role for Rachel Weisz.
I love Christmassy movies so this will be down for one to watch for me

Well you know I love Christmas movies so I'll be watching it too.....and I'll be getting the dvd to add to all my other Christmas films 
It's got an excellent cast too!

Sometimes Vince Vaughn can be too OTT but I really enjoyed seeing him in this movie.....I loved when he tried getting a party atmosphere going in the toy workshop Kevin Spacey's good in it too and I like how they got a film reference in!

Believe it or not babe I seen it too  And I have to admit I really enjoyed it too...I loved the sequrity elves (that was mini-me too wasn't it??) And the party was great... I loved the fight with the dj too

i wont jump from roof top to roof top saying this is the best film ever but Vince Vaughn did the film good he brought me to watch it anyways

I'd agree with that assessment Wayne too....its not fantastic but still a vewry watchable xmas film
