It means he had an argument with the Director or a fellow actor probably over who has the biggest caravan or something

I like how everything's creative or artistic differences when they've probably had a blazing row about something

Yeah ..though in saying that too I do think there are a few films that the Director realises that he has got the wrong actor for the part....
