Censored Film FestivalIf you're in London on the 18th October, then go to the Barbican Centre to see Seduced- Sex and Censorship in the Cinema. It's a six-day Festival featuring films that have been banned or cut by The British Board of Film Classification.
Films such as Stanley Kubrick's 1962 Lolita movie, which had several minutes cut, will be shown.....along with Gerard Depardieu's The Last Woman, which was banned by the BBFC.

Damn .....  London always gets the best events!! 
I didn't know Lolita had footage cut from it??? I knew it caused controversy but not about deleted scenes.....I'm now curious

I actually have heard of the Gerard Depardieu film he plays a guy who loses his wife after she gets obsessed with Feminism and leaves him after been sick of him only wanting to eat, sleep and have sex...he then later gets a girlfriend who later basically threatens to leave him and he gets so upset and afraid that she'll leave too that he promises to change his ways...he deducts the best way to do this is to rid himself of the source of his problems and he starts to mutilate himself in other words and not to put a finer point on it he gets himself and electric knife and cuts his own penis off.....
Can't see why some wanted to ban it
Its so silly really..... like c'mon all us guys who see this film are not going to run off and cut our own penises off 
I also don't think it showed feminism in a good light which probably doesn't help it today either
