Battlestar Galactica MovieUniversal is apparently plotting a new “Battlestar Galactica” movie for cinemas – but not from Ron Moore, the “Star Trek” vet who masterminded the current acclaimed SciFi series.
Instead Universal is turning to TV vet Glen A. Larson, who created the 1978 original and its sequel, “Galactica 1980.”
The movie apparently will have nothing to do with the continuity of the current series, but will feature the characters of Adama and Baltar, according to James Hibberd’s Live Feed blog.
The SciFi series manifests evidence that a “Galactica” movie could be something truly wonderful if they hire the right guy or gal to write it.
I'm actually quite pleased that they are going away from the new series even though I haven't really seen much of it  honestly I hope this brings Starbuck back a man... he was easily the best character and should have been left male like originally concieved...I'm all for strong women and I'm sure they can make room for many in the film but to me Starbuck is a guy and should be left that way

this is one series i have never managed to get a ook at from the start , watched the original loads of times ,but thinik i have seen 1 episdode of the new series.

The current series has been acclaimed by fans and critics so it's strange they won't be making a film that carries on from the show. If Glen A Larson is writing it, does that mean it'll have the feel of the original show I wonder?

I think it will go back to the style and look of the original show make Starbuck a guy
